The paleo diet, or to give it it's full title The Paleolithic diet also goes by the names The Caveman diet and The Stone age diet.Whilst the paleo diet would appear to derive from mankind's distant past, it is actually a modern nutritional diet plan which is based on the presumed diet of hominids from the paleolithic era which ended around 10,000 years ago.

Adhering to a paleo diet menu is regarded by many nutritionists as the #1 healthiest diet you can eat as it is the only diet that actually works with your genetics to help you stay strong, lean and energetic.
Interestingly scientists studying out paleolithic ancestors have revealed that cardio-vascular disease and strokes were virtually non-existent.
When thought about logically, the paleo diet, above all other diets, makes the most sense considering the amount of processed foods and additives that we consume on a daily basis with our modern diets compared to the paleo diet which is a 100% natural and instinctive diet.

- Cut out all processed oils, sugar, including soft drinks and packaged fruit juices and all dairy products other than butter.
- Eat when you are hungry! don't feel that you should stick to a timed three meals a day regime, similarly if you aren't hungry....don't eat! skipping a meal or two when you are not hungry will do you no harm!
